Holders Kilcar House progressed to the Shield final following a hard fought win over John Eoinins in The Cope House on Friday night, they went 2-0 up after the doubles Raymond Hegarty/Roger McShane winning 2-0 against Jason Cunnea/Cliff Taylor in a close match, Joe Shovlin/James Byrne beat Hugh Doherty/Martin Boyle 2-1, James finished 90 to win the match with the John Eoinins lads on a double. In the singles in form Hugh Doherty Jnr bt Raymound Hegarty 3-1 he hit a 180, Jason Cunnea bt Joe Shovlin 3-0 to make it 2-2. James Byrne beat Martin Boyle 3-0 in the two pointer to win it.

John The Miners set up another meeting with Kilcar House this time in the 2016 Shield Final following a 4-2 win over O’Donnell’s. They were 2-0 up after the doubles, O’Donnell’s levelled it at 2-2 following John Menchia’s 3-0 win over Kieran Gallagher in the first singles match which was the two pointer, Adrian Hamilton overcame Andrew Gillespie who’s missed darts at doubles were punished 3-0 before Adrian Byrne came from 1-0 down to beat Noel McGinley 3-1 to send them to the final, John The Miners have already won the knockout cup and Kilcar House have won the league so a close final is expected on Friday night as to see who can clinch the double.Fixtures
