Declan Quinn from Glenties put on a great display of darts on the day to claim the 2018 John Harkin Darts title where in the final he beat Stephen Harron 6-2 he defeated some tough opponents on the way including John Con, John Menchia and Phil McGeehan while in the Shield youth player Owen Carr defeated veteran Roger McShane in the final 3-1 to claim the title, Owen just missed out by a point in the group stages to qualify for the main event. We also had a 9 dart shoot out in the group stages between Cartha and Liam who finished level on points where Liam came out the winner. The tournament was run on a round robin format so all players had at least four matches and we had some great battles on day in Evelyn’s Bar in what was the first dart tournament to be held in the Carrick venue. Thanks to all players who entered and who kept things running by marking matches, tho Evelyn's Bar for hosting the event and to the Harkin family for their sponsorship.

John Harkin Memorial Darts Tournament
This Saturday sees the return of the John Harkin Cup and Shield Darts Singles Tournament after a gap of two years, this year’s event takes place in Evelyn’s Bar, Carrick. The tournament is limited to 32 players as it will be run with eight groups of four with the top two going into the cup and bottom two into the shield competitions. €700 in prizes and its €15 to enter you can enter via our Facebook group or text 086-9969256 but be quick as places are filling up fast!
