Cope House 5 Bridge Bar 5

The Bridge Bar put in their best performance of the season with a 5-5 draw in The Cope, they were 2-1 up after the doubles and Adrian Byrne beat Irwin Muirhead 3-1 to put them 4-1 up and with Francis Curran winning the next match the Carrick side went 5-1 up before the home side won the next four matches to snatch a draw, these sides meet again this weekend in the cup semi-final.

Kilcar House 6 Roartys 4

Kilcar House also put in their best display of the season by defeating Roartys 6-4 in their rearranged match this was the away side’s first loss in the league stages since 23rd January 2010 a run of 38 games. The home side led 2-1 after the doubles with Colm Carr hitting a 156 checkout to win the second game of the night, Kenneth Kennedy defeated John McGinley 3-1 in the opening singles with John hitting a 156 checkout this was John’s first loss of the season, Ken hit a 180. Wins for Raymond Hegarty and James Byrne wrapped up the win for the home side, Scott McBrearty also had a 180 this result keeps the home side in second place with one game remaining.
